Face of Australia is one of Australia’s leading cosmetic brands and a brand that I’ve been using for as long as I can remember. Their affordable quality products are what make them one of the great brands here in Oz; the range keeps growing and growing.

This leading cosmetic brand has recently signed music production duo ‘Nervo’ as their new ambassadors.

These Melbourne born Aussie sisters who are busy writing and Djing across the globe have returned to their roots and are excitedly fronting ‘Face of Australia’ cosmetics, an Australian brand they too grew up using.

Last year Nervo wrote the #1 David Guetta chart hit ‘When Love Takes Over’ performed by Kelly Rowland from Destiny’s Child. These beautiful down to earth sisters are a great front for Face of Australia and are excited to be doing so.

Face of Australia is AGAINST ANIMAL TESTING

Face Base Primer

Face Base Primer is the beginning to your beauty regime, after cleansing and toning of course. This primer smooths the skin, fills fine lines and controls shine. Smooth a thin layer over face concentrating on rough spots and fine lines, once dry apply foundation.

I found this Face Base Primer helps with the wear of foundation, as it smooths the skin foundation is applied more easily and lasts all day.

Anti-Aging Stick Foundation SPF 15

This foundation is designed to improve skin tone and hides imperfections like dark circles and lines. With added SPF 15 it fights the sun’s harmful rays while keeping skin looking fabulous.

Containing Kaolin which is known to draw out impurities and toxins, clearing the skin of excess oil, dirt, pollution and other waste materials.

I found this foundation is great for on the go – one to keep in the purse. It does go on a little thick but once smoothed into skin it gives excellent coverage.

RRP $11.95

Mineral Therapy Liquid Foundation

Formulated with pure minerals, this lightweight formula provides perfect coverage. Skin balancing jojoba and Vitamins E & C soften and nourish the skin whilst protecting from impurities.

I find this foundation is great for keeping oil at bay – my skin at the moment is very combination and finding a foundation to keep the oily spots dry has been a challenge. This mineral therapy foundation is great as its lightweight yet able to tackle my combination skin keeping it flawless for the day ahead.

Mineral Therapy Powder Foundation

This oil free, fragrance free and talc-free foundation is the perfect organic option in foundations. Containing Organic Green Tea extract, Vitamin C & E which help to reduce visible signs of premature aging, Vitamin C helps skin appear brighter and Vitamin E a powerful antioxidant that protects skin from free radical damage. This mineral foundation nourishes and protects whilst giving a beautiful matte finish.

As mineral foundations are all the rage right now, I have tended to go that way too – this foundation is my one of choice not only because it gives such great coverage but because it doesn’t clog my pores – this makes my skin feel lighter and is easier to remove.

Only thing to watch out for is I only apply lightly as it has a tendency to build up and go darker than what is expected. Once around the face is all that’s really needed.

Size 10g

RRP $16.95

Pressed Bronzer

As seen on ‘A Current Affair’ this lightweight, ultra fine textured bronzer gives an instant sun kissed glow. Containing micronized pigments provide a smooth and even bronze coverage that boosts radiance instantly.

It comes in a gorgeous little compact set with a mirror which is another great ‘In your purse’ product.

There are so many bronzers out there but what sets this one aside in my opinion is it’s so easy to blend, some bronzers aren’t great at giving off a natural look. I find this one looks natural and is also great for shading – I use it to make my cheeks appear slimmer and it works really well for that too!

Size 15g

RRP $11.95

Liquid Eyeliner

Face of Australia’s liquid eyeliner is bold, clean and smudge proof, with a precision tip application that is quick drying.

I am so very addicted to liquid eyeliner, that I more often than not even wear it if I’m just around the house. I do love the bold rich colour this eyeliner gives, however you will need a steady hand – I am not so great with using this one. It does state that it is a mistake proof liner but I guess I’m the exception, however a cotton bud does fix up my errors and I do love the colour.

Size 8ml

RRP $8.95

Mineral Lip Shine

Face of Australia has created the perfect go between natural lip colour, it’s not a lip gloss and not yet a lipstick. Infused with natural mineral pigments to deliver radiant shine and sheer colour with no synthetic dyes. This mineral lip shine contains antioxidant vitamins and skin hydrating ingredients to keep lips soft and protected.

I’ve been using the ‘Fairy Floss’ colour and I love it! It truly is a go between lipgloss/lipstick. It can be worn anywhere with anything. I use it all the time just as a pick me up. As it isn’t sticky it can be applied as often as you like without lips becoming dry. Plus it’s not just a shiny gloss it contains a hint of colour.

Size 4.9g

RRP $12.95

Divine Shine Lip Plumper

Cinnamon and Ginger stimulate circulation below the skins surface, encouraging lips to flush and plump. Menthol combines to produce a longer lasting plumping effect for bigger lips. Lanolin fills fine lines and makes lips appear smoother and fuller. Intense light reflecting pigments ensure a mirror-like gloss finish.

I once used a lip plumper back when they first became popular and it was horrible, the plumper stung and made my lips chap so since then I’ve been skeptical.

However after using this lip plumper my fears are at rest. The ingredients are gentle on lips and really do enhance the plumpness of my lips. I love feeling like I have Angelina Jolie lips for a short time. I’m using the colour ‘Lavish Instincts’ and will definitely be purchasing the other colour in this range ‘Sterling Blossom’.

Size 9.4g

RRP $10.95

Gentle Make up Remover

This super gentle fluid is activated when liquid is shaken combining the two phases for the ultimate make-up removal. With tear compatible pH, this fragrance free formula melts away all types of make-up including stay-put and waterproof and will not sting sensitive eyes.

Finding a good quality make up remover can be a challenge and believe me I’ve tried many. This make up remover is one of the better ones I’ve used that’s for sure. To use shake the bottle until the phases have combined – you will know when because the liquid turns kind of shimmery.

Then apply to a cotton pad and wipe gently over closed eyes, be careful not to rub into eyes – it doesn’t sting at all but it’s never good to rub around the eye area.

I find after using this make-up remover my eyes actually feel soothed.

  1. I have only tried FOA’s base primer and it was good. I haven’t tried any others but it did what it said it would do. I didn’t even know this range existed until someone pointed this range out to me.
