BeeTox from Skin Doctors is another product that uses the key ingredient of bee venom. Melittin is the compound that tricks your skin into thinking it has been very lightly stung by a buzzing bee – which tells your skin to plump and stimulate that elastin and collagen.
This isn’t recommended for those with a bee allergy, but for normal skin that needs a little help in the anti-ageing department there is a difference in the look and feel of the skin after continuous use (from 7 days).
Used twice a day after cleansing, in addition to the bee venom properties it works as a lovely little moisturiser with manuka honey included for extra nourishment.
No bees were harmed when making this tub of beauty and now that my current jar of Skin Doctors Gamma Hydroxy has run out this is what I am using instead to target a slightly different anti-ageing issue.
