REVIEW: The Body Shop Honey Bronze Shimmering Dry Oil

When a beauty product contains honey, I can barely contain myself – I have to try it! The Body Shop has a new collection called Honey Bronze, and when the Shimmering Dry Oil landed on my desk I couldn’t leave it unopened for long.

This product is designed to give you a sunkissed, bronze glow with a hint of shimmer. As far as bronzing products go, this one is easy to use. Give it a good shake and apply to your body in circular motions and you are ready to go.

The interesting thing about the Shimmering Dry Oil is that it starts as a liquid, and almost instantly dries as it is applied to your skin. This means there is no greasy residue and you don’t even notice it is there, except for the lovely fragrance which lingers, this is “Monoi” – from Tahitian Gardenias.

The word honey in the name is not just a buzz word, honey is actually a key ingredient, and being The Body Shop it is Community Fair Trade from Ethiopia.

You can either use this product for a quick body bronze or as a way to extend the life of an existing tan. This isn’t purely a bronzer, it cares for your skin too. Two other fair trade ingredients to tickle your fancy are brazil nut oil from Peru and beeswax from Cameroon.

New to The Body Shop, the Honey Bronze Shimmering Dry Oil has an RRP of  $39.95 for 100ml and will quickly become a summer favourite.
