Bloom and Blossom is a British brand that’s philosophy boils down to using the least amount of ingredients without compromising the greatest results – while still keeping it natural and I think that’s a pretty commendable aim.
Bloom and Blossom products are designed for new and expectant mums. They are completely safe for pregnant ladies, new mothers and their gorgeous babies. The quality natural ingredients are tested to ensure they meet extremely high standards and the inclusion level for active ingredients is between 5-10% which makes them some of the most effective products on the market.
There are an awful lot of NO’s in the Bloom and Blossom promise and here they are:
- No PARABENS
- No PETROLEUM
- No SODIUM LAURETH
- No SODIUM LAUREL SULPHATE (SLS)
- No XENOESTROGEN
- No PHTHALATES
- No ARTIFICIAL COLOURANTS
- No SYNTHETIC FRAGRANCE
- No PETROCHEMICALS
- No HARSH DETERGENTS
- No TOXIC INGREDIENTS
- No ANIMAL TESTING
Now that’s the kind of no I really like to see! (For the lowdown on what common skincare ingredients really mean, visit our special ingredients feature.)
I can’t say I’m a new mum anymore, I think I’m a little past that with my now 3 year old, and I am definitely not expecting but I am a working mum who gets nowhere near enough enough sleep and I have been trying out two of the Bloom and Blossom products, the two that are probably the best suited to my lifestyle now that I think about it.
Bloom and Blossom Revitalising Leg and Foot Spray
This little beauty is perfect to help ease water retention and refresh tired, heavy legs, ankles and feet – which is exactly what I have when i make it home at night. Simple to use and smelling subtle, I can’t really put my finger on what the scent is but according to the ingredients it would be Tangerine Leaf Oil which is uplifting as well as pleasant smelling.
11 is the total number of ingredients in this product and they are all listed on the box with an explanation of what they do and how they earned their spot in the product. I have just sprayed my legs for the evening to get in the zone so to speak. I can actually feel the difference.
The active ingredient blend includes Horse Chestnut Seed Extract which has anti-inflammatory properties and is high in B vitamins and Yellow Sweet Clover Extract to improve circulation and reduce swelling, Aloe Vera has collagen boosting properties which help soothe and condition the skin.
Guaranteed to be a hit with expectant mums as they are starting to swell – especially as the weather starts to warm.
Bloom and Blossom Rejuvenating Facial Spritz
This Facial Spritz seems to have been made just for me, I am in love! It was formulated for use whenever yo need a little bit of a wake up call, which in my case is every half hour from when I get out of bed. The active ingredients help improve skin tone, reduce wrinkles and alleviate dark shadows under the eyes, so I better take a whole bucket. But the best bit is that it gets its scent from Lime essential oil so it smells absolutely divine and the lime oil has both toning and antiseptic qualities.
Also included in the active ingredients list are Lady’s Mantle extract to improve elasticity, Gotu Cola Leaf extract helps to form collagen and Aloe Vera. The total number of ingredients in this product is 11, and the water used is taken from natural UK sources.
To give yourself an uplifting wake-up call is as simple as closing your eyes and spraying a spritz, it smells heavenly and will start to perk you up in moments. You can spray it after cleaning or over makeup. Sure to be a hit with new mums who are suffering a bit of sleep deprivation.
