You may have seen the Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner from Maybelline NY, it comes in a little pot complete with applicator brush. The current range of blacks and browns has been expanded to include Charcoal and Eggplant – two shades which were originally limited edition but now permanent additions.
Gel eyeliners give you flexibility in how your eyeliner is applied, you can maneuver the brush to create a thinner line, or a dark, dramatic look.
Eggplant is the more subtle of the two, I had to go over it a few times to darken it up – but there are times when you will prefer this shade.
Charcoal on the other hand came on strong, it’s not as harsh as black but still looks very sultry and sexy teamed with smokey eyeshadow and black mascara. Charcoal is definitely my favourite, but I would still occasionally wear Eggplant to switch it up a little – I’m just not a real purpley kind of girl.
The formula is waterproof and to use all you need to do is dip the brush in the pot and apply to your eyes in small strokes. Build it up to get the intensity you want and voila, you will have party perfect eyes.
The two new shades from Maybelline NY are now in store, the Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliners have an RRP of $16.95
